End of a Dream

Taking Care Of Business, Beginning Of The End, Winding Down, Someday, Diana's Success

In the fall of 1968, Diana Ross and the Supremes began working on the first of a series of television variety specials. Gordy had contracted the group to do a series of three specials, working with TV producer George Schlatter. Schlatter was a talented producer who brought out the best in the musicians and performers who worked with him. He was particularly good at directing comedy, and he helped Diana and the others with their acting in the short skits they performed.
