Ringo Quits The Beatles!

On August 22, 1968, during sessions for The White Album, Ringo decided to leave the Beatles, feeling that tensions among the group had grown too high for him to keep working. He was gone for nearly two weeks (a time in which the group did try to keep recording without him, with Paul filling in on drums), when he was finally persuaded by all of the other Beatles to come back. Returning to the studio, he found his drums had been covered in flowers by the band.
